JEE Main April 2019: Important instructions candidates must follow

The National Testing Agency (NTA), which carries out the main test of JEE, has published a notice for candidates who will be presented for the entrance examination in April.

This year, JEE Main will be held twice: in January (for which the results have already been published) and in April.

NTA has also launched the “Center Locator” tool to help candidates find their exam center.

Here are some important instructions for JEE Main April.

Admit card
Check the admission card, inform NTA of any errors.
Here are the important points that candidates should remember:

Applicants must download their admission card in advance from the JEE Main 2019 official website, www.jeemain.nic.

Candidates should check the admission card for the time of the minutes, the time the door was closed, the date of the examination, the working hours and the place of the examination.

In the case of incorrect personal information, applicants should immediately inform the TAA of these errors.

Visit your examination center beforehand, use Center Locator tool

Previously, NTA launched a tool called Center Locator on the official website, which allowed students to easily locate their respective centers. In his opinion, NTA asked the candidates to go to the center at least a day in advance to avoid any confusion and any delay at the last minute.

Candidates must bring these documents for entry in examination hall

JEE Main 2019 will be a fully computerized test; Applicants must bring the following documents with them.

Print your entry card, preferably in color and on a sheet A-4.

An identity photo authorized by the government (original) such as the PAN card and the driving license.

Applicants in the PwD category must carry a certificate issued by the competent authority.

The candidates are NOT allowed to bring the following things to the examination center:

Any instrument, geometry/pencil box.

Any kind of bag/handbag.

Any paper, stationery, textual material (printed/written).

Eatables and water.

Any electronic device like mobile phone, pager, calculator, or camera.

Electronic watches also aren’t allowed.

There may not be a provision for a locker at the center to keep your belongings.

Take mock tests to familiarize with computer-based test

In addition, students must write their name and role number on the blank sheets provided to do the rough work.

Applicants must send drafts and admission card to the supervisor before leaving the examination room.

Students are encouraged to become familiar with the computer test by performing simulated tests available at www.nta.ac.in.
